"I am happy to provide a testimonial for Eamon Christmas and the PreFlight Aviation team, who helped me buy a 1977 Cessna 182Q in Canada and import it into the USA.
As a pilot getting back into flying after a 15-year break, various makes of airplanes interested me. Eamon was patient, and we worked together, looking at several makes and models that caught my interest before spotting an exciting airplane in Canada.
Eamon then facilitated the purchase process, handling all the paperwork and negotiations with the seller. He was always available to answer my questions and provided frequent updates on the progress of the transaction. I appreciated his responsiveness.
Although importing an airplane into the US has many additional hurdles and risks as opposed to buying something already registered with the FAA, the reward was getting a great airplane at a much lower cost.
Eamon went above and beyond in facilitating the purchase and importation process. He worked with the seller, US Customs, the importation company, the title company, and the FAA to ensure the importation was compliant and followed all necessary regulations. He also organized a pre-buy and annual inspection in Burlington, VT, and found a good insurance broker to get me a policy to cover the airplane. He even arranged for a safety pilot to fly with me for 25 hours from Vermont to my home in Petaluma, CA.
Overall, Eamon's professionalism, expertise, and commitment to customer satisfaction made buying an aircraft from another country a stress-free and enjoyable experience. I am thrilled with my new Cessna 182Q, with the latest Garmin G3x avionics and a 275 HP P-Ponk engine upgrade, and I owe much of my satisfaction to Eamon and PreFlight Aviation."
